LOFT opens second concept store & flagship store MASUNAGA

LOFT, a unique concept store from Gent, will soon open a second store in one of the characteristic streets of Antwerp. With that shop they are taking one step further with their concept. This store will be the first MASUNAGA flagship store in Europe.

With the opening of this brand new optical store they want to continue the strong growth. Tom Buysse, the young entrepreneur behind LOFT is very happy with this next step: “With LOFT I have created something unique. A place where you will be surprised and amazed, with unique handmade glasses. We notice that our concept is received extremely well. We received more and more demand from customers to expand. With the new store in Antwerp we are ready for the next step: a flagship store of MASUNAGA where we will create a special brand experience with this Japanese brand. A stylish collection with beautiful ornate details. MASUNAGA is a reflection of craftsmanship, passion and quality. For this reason the mission statement of MASUNAGA is as follows: ‘We manufacture excellent eyeglasses. We want to make a profit if we can, but we don’t hesitate to take a loss. It is always in our thoughts to manufacture excellent eyeglasses.’ A credo that we fully support.”

MASUNAGA OPTICAL sees this as a unique opportunity to better position the brand in Europe under supervision of Hans Zwijsen and Magali Somers, founders of Style22 (distributor of MASUNAGA). “The brand store is a great eye-catcher in the heart of Antwerp where a large part of the collection is presented by our ambassador Tom. This first MASUNAGA flagship store has a dual purpose: on the one hand, to give the brand more brand awareness. On the other hand, brand experience is essential to reach the consumer and to positively influence their buying behaviour”, they both agree.

After a thorough renovation of the building on the Steenhouwersvest, the doors of a stylish and inspiring optical store will open early May. You will receive a warm welcome from the LOFT team in a relaxed atmosphere. A personal approach is obvious. Together looking for that one frame that fits perfectly in terms of appearance and feel.
